Week 37

The week leading up to our week 37 picture, has been a bit busy. I'll explain why the bump looks a little smaller a bit further on in the blog. My parents came back with a gift for ladybug to go in her bedroom, so here mum is modelling it. My cousin Joe and his gf Megan are expecting a baby also, like 2 weeks after us and we went to her baby shower which was beautiful! They haven't found out what they are having so its all going to be a complete surprise for them! I'm so happy for them and they are going to be great parents. On the same day, we also went to my brother Joes baseball race night/presentation. We haven't had a picture with him through out the pregnancy so we knew we needed to get one! even if he is drunk. TBF I think he's going to be that drunk gay uncle everyone always warns you about. Because he is drunk like 99.9percent of the time. Its not diabetes he tests for, its to see if there's enough blood to alcohol content in his body h...

Week 36 - Come Along Little One

Not much has happened this week. Well, week 35 leading up to week 36 anyway. Lady Bug has really started making herself known now. The wife is still suffering from lightning crotch, but is a bit more used to the pain. I still laugh though. The wife is spending a bit more time on the maternity ball, from what the antenatal classes taught us, is this is to help aid the baby into position. And the wife finds it a bit more comfortable to sit on at the mo than the sofa anyway. Unless she's laying down on the sofa of course haha. And of course, the boys in their beds, because dogs make blogs. This week was literally spent being like, c'mon little one, we want to meet you know. We are just so ready for it!

Week 35 - The Week Of The Lightning Crotch!

The baby really started to come out and play this week. The movements started to get more wavey as opposed to the usual kicking. Just probably because she's becoming a little unit and not much room to boot everyone. The wife favourite thing to do has been to cuddle up to my back at night so I get kicked too lmao.  Anyway lightning crotch -  Just when you thought you knew all the pregnancy aches and ouches, here comes a  shocking  surprise:  lightning crotch ! What is lightning crotch? With a name that sounds a little like a playground insult, lightning crotch may not seem like an official diagnosis, but it is the common term for a sudden sharp or shooting pain in the vagina, rectum, or pelvis, mostly commonly during the third trimester. While not dangerous, it can be very surprising and uncomfortable. Some women have compared the feeling to an electric shock! For others, it is more of a tingle that radiates down the legs. Luckily, the jo...

Week 34 Before And After?

The weekend before we turned 34 weeks we had our baby shower, what a faff, since we had literally just moved further away from the venue. We were in such a rush, we had both forgotten to grab the decorations on the way out, only remembering to grab the food. ( I mean important parts) So I had to bomb it back home to get those and then still forgot the selfie frame we had specially made. But it doesn't matter, we had a great time.  We were utterly spoilt, we literally can't thank everyone enough for everything we got. Me and the wife <3 Me and the wife with my parents <3 My beautiful momma had a wonderful cake made for us, but because we had forgotten everything, we also forgot a knife to cut it with. My friend from work made some amazing sugar cookies which went down really well with everyone (as I knew they would). So with the baby shower over with, we could focus on finally getting the nursery completely finished. obviously we broug...

We Reached 33 Weeks, But What Happened Through Week 32?

By now, We've fulling moved into the new house, we had to do a lot more than we thought before we moved in. We redid the flooring in the living room and hall way, also painted the living room and did the babies nursery. Have had no hip from the baby so far, all plain sailing. We were excited about getting the Sherlock chair into the nursery as it was so big, but we originally didn't realise you could take the legs off, which made it so much easier. The little feeding corner in her bedroom. Obviously, because we are going for a safari/animal theme in the nursery, the wife just had to go buy random stuffed toys. so now we also have a massive giraffe too. Here is a random picture of the boys adjusting to life in a new house.

What Happened Between Week 31 And 32?

As myself and the wife are generally crazy people. We decided the house we were living in was just too small for our growing family. So we moved from a small 2 bed house with one allocated parking space which is described on right move as a 'flat' to a large 2 double bedroomed house in the centre of Newbury. I mean its a shame we are in no position to buy, as this property would be ideal. But still! This house is perfect. We had our Queens death, and her funeral as well during this time. But anyway, we had a week cross over with both houses, obviously - get movers in. Less stressful and with the wife being so pregnant, it was what we needed to do. I wouldn't of been able to do it myself, was too stressful moving up from Chandlers Ford. We've had no bother really for the Pregnancy. We took antenatal classes, which was a great learning curve. We learned about breast feeding, the different types of pain relief the wife might want to try, and how I can help w...
