What Happened Throughout Week 27 - With a Week 28 Photo.

So Following on from my previous post, we were up north. We ended up going to the Trafford centre which meant we also went to sealife centre! THEY HAD TURTLES!

For anyone who knows me I've been obsessed with the ocean and turtles for years (turtles mostly since Hawaii) so as you can tell, I was super excited!

Anyway, we had an amazing time, even brought myself and lady bug matching Liverpool tops ;)

We had dinner at a place in Albert Docks, but I wouldn't go there again, I mean, the place we ate, not the docks. there was so much to do there but so little time to do it all. So we know that for next time.

So in our Hotel, we basically slept on springs as the mattress was naff - DON'T stay at Warrington Fir Grove Best Western. Because the wife isn't suffering enough with back ache through pregnancy, obviously she suffered that bit more. And I couldn't sleep well either - I don't sleep too well as it is. But we had a brilliant weekend anyway playing crazy Golf and Bents and seeing my family :) safe to say we'll be staying at the premier inn when we come back up at Christmas.

So, come Tuesday, the wife was like - oh we need to get up early tomorrow as she has a blood test. So we get up early, get ready, then she saw the calendar.

The blood test was for today. (Thursday)

Ha, oh well, 2 early days.

We've also got a house viewing. we just want a house big enough for family living and adequate parking. so fingers crossed we like them.

So, What was it?

The day started sleepily. Both being rather excited to sleep very well. Having been adamant this whole time, I woke up this morning having a feeling it’d be a girl. We traveled to my parents, myself and my dad wore blue, mum and the wife wore pink. Thankfully my dad drove as I was super excited. We drove all the way to Window To The Womb in Romsey. I’d highly recommend going there over the Reading branch. The interior was really nice, staff extremely helpful and there was an abundance of parking. We checked in with the receptionist, and we had to fill out a form on a tablet. I liked the feature that we could put both of our names ‘baby of Kelly & Louise’   We got into the room for the scan, it was definitely very roomy indeed, there were 2 sofas for my parents to sit on and well as multiple screens to look at. We heard the very strong heart beat again of our little jelly bean. And saw a little 4D sneak peak. We all had to close our eyes when the sonographer was looking t...

How We Told People

Because we had been trying for so long, we had thought of many ways to tell people we were pregnant.  We know it was super early, but we were super excited. And we were only letting certain people know. My parents, the wifes dad, my brother, the wifes brother and sister in law, the wifes sister, and also one of my cousins who I'm close with and 2 of my aunts and uncles. So you know, just a little circle. Bar my aunts, uncles and Cousin, everyone else got cards and baby grows announcing we were pregnant. For my cousin and her husband, they had covid at the time so we offered to take them round some Costa coffees. The first heartbreaking issue we encounter was when we gave my aunts scratch cards - they know we're generally jokers so they didn't trust us. But they scratched them off anyway, they're those scratch cards you get off amazon that basically say we're pregnant once all scratched off. So yeah, they were both shocked and excited. The one ...

Week 22 - The One With The Heatwave

Week 22 - the week of the great British heatwave. We’re currently on the 2nd day of over 35 degrees (but obviously we’ve had plenty of glorious late 20 degree days before this point). Which would normally be blooming glorious had we been abroad. But as our lovely great british  houses are made to keep warmth in, you could imagine how we are all sleeping. Especially the wife. I’m waking up in the night to get playing on her phone and just struggling. Lady bug is kicking around as she’s all like mummy’s help I’m like a boil in the bag rice. Aren’t we all darling, aren’t we all! Some things have come to light this week. The wife has been really emotional, which has been hard to get a handle of as I’m used to her being like a brick wall when it comes to emotions. She’s had comments about her pregnancy belly, and the ‘strange’ line. It’s not a strange line, it’s your body. Embrace it baby.  We brought a cheeky hot tub! Nice little one for the 2 of us. We had our niece and ne...
